Earn your Bachelor of Arts in English in one of our four concentrations: creative writing, English education, literature and writing studies. BSU also offers flexible and widely applicable minors in literature and writing. Our diverse faculty focuses on building reading and writing expertise across genres. The English, MA graduate program is aimed at students interested in research and advanced study in literature, composition/rhetoric, creative writing, TESOL, film and English pedagogy. For high school and middle school English teachers seeking professional licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, BSU offers an English, MAT degree.

Educator Licensure

Honors Program
The honors program in English provides highly motivated English majors with opportunities to enhance their academic program through intensive scholarly study and research designed to be of assistance in postgraduate employment or in the pursuit of an advanced degree in English.
