Concerns brought to the Ombuds Office must fall outside of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the AFSCME. If your concern involves a situation where a grievance can be filed or where the AFSCME can advocate on your behalf, the AFSCME is the appropriate resource to assist you. If you are not sure where to bring your concern, please go to the AFSCME first.

The Ombuds will not handle matters addressed in the contract, including but not limited to:

  • Performance evaluation procedures and disciplinary actions
  • Salary, salary adjustments, salary charts
  • Leave accruals or use and overtime
  • Tours of Duty, location, or modality
  • Position classifications and reclassifications
